I am a software engineer living in Berlin, Germany. I am lucky enough to be paid to work on open source software. I am part of a team that develops the Nakadi Event Broker, as well as related tools such as Bubuku, a supervisor for Apache Kafka. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, eating great food, and reading.
Not long ago, I was a postdoctoral researcher, working on self-adaptive systems, bidirectional programming, and access control. I got my PhD at The Open University, UK, and my advisors were Dr. Charles B. Haley, Dr. Michel Wermelinger, and Dr. Yijun Yu. I then worked at The Open University, Lero – the Irish Software Engineering Research Center, and the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Tokyo, Japan.
